La Mer Co., Ltd. is a company based in the city of Kyoto, Japan, specialising in dyeing, spinning and weaving.

I, the representative of the company, gained experience in sales and administration while learning the know-how of import and export at a trading company. At the same time, I became fascinated by dyeing, spinning and weaving as I was familiarising myself more with handicraft which I always had a passionate interest. While I teach such technique, I continue to create new products. We are now proud to be the leading company in Japan in this field.

Here in Kyoto there is traditional silk weaving, but new methods have been added to this tradition, introducing wool and cotton yarn spinning and hand weaving equipment and techniques.

We have planned and produced a series of original La Mer products, including tabletop folding looms, plying machines and fringe twisters.

We will continue to offer good products so that everyone can enjoy spinning and weaving.
